~About Tokyo International School~
Established in 1985, Tokyo International School Group (TISG) runs Tokyo International School Afterschool (TISAS), Tokyo International School Kindergarten (TISKG) and Tokyo International School Learning Through English (TISLTE) at our Nakameguro and Minami Azabu model school campuses in Tokyo. We also have franchise campuses based in Kachidoki, Chuo-ku, Maruyama, Sapporo, Nishinomiya, Hyogo, and Ohori, Fukuoka.
We (Ohori team) are currently looking to hire a Teacher who will join a team of Afterschool teachers at our campus from September 1st, 2018.
POSITION DETAILS: The work week is Monday to Friday. Paid vacation days are every Saturday and Sunday, public holidays, Bon vacation (11 Aug.to 16 Aug.) during summer, two weeks in winter (Although 5 days of them are your own paid holidays, but this year, these are unpaid because it falls within the first 6 months of your contract.) , and five days of flexible leave(After half a year). The daily work schedule is 11:00 am to 20:00 pm, but it must be mentioned that the Teacher is expected to put in the hours necessary to provide students with a learning experience of the highest possible quality.
IDEAL CANDIDATE: We are looking for a confident, dedicated, and passionate teacher. Candidates must have a university degree and two years experience of teaching English to children in Japan.
LOCATION: 1-4-53 Torikai, chuo-ku, Fukuoka-city
START DATE: September 1st, 2018.
COMPENSATION: The starting wage will be 270,000JPY. The first three months will be a probation period. Participation in the Social Insurance and Pension scheme is required. The monthly transportation reimbursement amount is up to 50,000JPY.
RECRUITMENT PROCESS: We will screen resumes to check that minimum requirements are met. Candidates will be contacted to arrange face-to-face interviews at our Ohori campus or Skype web-interviews for those who live outside Fukuoka. Candidates will be asked to bring with them their residence cards, passports, copies of qualifications and letters of reference. Following the first round of interviews candidates will be short-listed for a second round of interviews, which will include a trial lesson. These second round interviews will be conducted with mother company staff members and Ohori campus staff members, and then make the final decision. Once that final decision has been made we will contact all candidates to inform them of the decision. The successful candidate will meet with us to sign employment documentation.
