We would like the candidate to firstly:
1) Develop WordPress themes
Currently, we are developing a new service called “Kisekae”. This new service is still in the stages of development, but our company plans to sell this service globally as a CMS for dentists to be able to edit and change their websites on their own.
2) Develop the company’s in-house systems
Our company owns and manages an NPO called the Japanese Institute of Dental Clinic Valuation (JIDV) as part of our group of companies, and we would like the candidate to continually develop new functions and features for JIDV. JIDV’s framework is based on PHP, and is also currently utilising Lalavel.
In addition to the aforementioned points, the ideal candidate would also be required to manage and train three new relatively inexperienced staff members in our Malaysian Labuan branch office.
The job scope is generally covered by the points above, but the candidate, once hired, may of course present his or her own ideas and any other suggestions or interesting business models for the company’s development in the future. It would be our pleasure to work on this together as one cohesive unit.
【What kind of talent are we looking for?】
-You have a decent amount of experience in system development and can generally accomplish most related tasks, therefore you would like to develop new services for the general public in the future, rather than focusing on just system development
-You are tired of developing projects after projects every day and would like a little more human interaction and a livelier working environment (Our previous systems engineer felt the same)
-You would like to utilise your skills and experience gained in Japan in your own country in the future
-You are both fluent in English and Japanese (JLPT N1 preferred, however we welcome applicants who may not necessarily have N1 but are fluent in a professional context)
Candidates will be required to go through as many interview rounds as required by the company.
-Working Hours: 9:00-18:00

In order to emerge as the victor, skills, stratagems, finances, and trusted allies are a must.
As partners of the head dentists and owners, we utilize our specialized knowledge to provide a complete support system consisting of website development, management strategies, and employment support among other things to help them clinch victory.
BE PROUD was first established in 2013 as a web development company.
At the time of establishment, there were only two members, the current Board Representative and the Chief Creative Director, working together to slowly build the company up from scratch in a rented apartment room.
Our company accepts all kinds of requests from our clients, therefore as the business developed over the years, we have expanded from website development to other areas such as consulting, branding, business logo creation, PPC (Pay-Per-Click) Advertising, SEO (Search Engine Optimization), and recruitment support among other services. As we need a diverse range of skills in order to provide a multi-faceted range of services to our growing customer base, our company currently has 21 people in its employment, which is a far cry from the days of only two staff members during the company’s inception.

With the increased number of staff, a burgeoning customer base, and a continuous stream of successful results, our company has managed to reach and stay at the peak of the domestic industry in Japan. However, we are refusing to rest on our laurels just yet and are in fact planning to become the “World’s No.1 Company In Providing Support for Dentists Globally”.
In pursuance of this goal, our company needs talent who can exploit their skills and know-how on a global scale. Two such members, one Singaporean and one Malaysian, have joined us from October 2019. Their mission as International Directors is to develop and adapt the company’s services and products for a global market. As such, our company is focusing not only on website development and design, but also on new and upcoming web and mobile applications among others.
We have set our sights during this stage of our overseas development on Taiwan and Australia, as these two countries not only share many similarities with the Japanese culture and values, but are also very favourably inclined towards Japan as a country on the whole.
Therefore, our company is currently recruiting an engineer who can help us develop our new services.

Our Business Model
The business model for BE PROUD is an exceedingly stable business model.
For regular web development companies, their sales increase and decrease to a large extent every month as it is affected by how many websites are developed for each particular month. On the other hand, our company receives monthly website management fees from our clients, which gives our sales figures stability. In fact, rather than watching the company’s sales figures go up and down every month, every new website development deal that the company clinches only serves to further increase sales and strengthen the overall stability of the company.
Additionally, we not only receive monthly website management fees, but also fees for consulting, advertising management, and SEO among others every month. As such, the bigger our customer base grows, the more stable our company becomes.
As a result of our strong and durable foundation, we are able to plan long term and new strategies for the company. If a company’s sales go up and down like a rollercoaster, it is virtually impossible to plan investments, even if it is just for a year ahead.
What’s more, as our company doesn’t get affected by short term results, we are able to steadily increase our staff members’ salaries, and our staff members subsequently feel secure enough to focus their energies on developing both themselves and the company.
