English Teacher - Tokyo（期限切れ）

We are looking to fill a part time teaching position with an opportunity to become a full-time employee. We hope to hire an enthusiastic and motivated teacher who loves to work with children and become part of our Smile Club family! Students are also welcome to apply!

School introduction
Smile Club is a non-government Pre-school, Kindergarten & Afterschool English school located in Koto-ku, Tokyo (nearest station: Sumiyoshi station).
At our school we have students from 1 year 8 months up to 6 years of age for our Pre-school and Kindergarten classes and 2-year-olds ~Elementary school age students in our Afternoon classes.
The school curriculum is revised on a yearly basis and the teacher in-charge can develop their own curriculum/structure of lessons in accordance to the age and level of the students.

Application requirements
 Currently residing in Japan
 Have a valid working visa for 6 months
 Commitment to work for at least one whole school year
 Having some special skill – play a musical instrument, can teach dance, good with video editing etc., is given special consideration but is not a necessity.

Working days
 Monday-Friday (and / or Saturdays)
※ Some school events may be held on weekends and national holidays.
Working hours will depend on the class you are assigned.
 Pre-school & Kindergarten class times: 9:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. / 2:45 p.m.
 Afternoon class times: 2:45 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. / 3:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
 Saturday class time: 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Days off -2 days a week.
In case of working on Saturdays you will get a weekday off instead.

Salary, Bonus & Compensation
 JPY250,000-JPY320,000/month
 Hourly salary: JPY1,200-JPY1,500/hour (JPY1,200/hour in case of no prior teaching experience)
※ Transportation cost will be reimbursed. (Limit: JPY 15,000 / month)
The first 3 months will be considered a training period (on probation).
After the end of the 3-month training period - depending on performance and quality of work, salary is negotiable and a full-time position may be offered.
 If you have a certificate in Early Childhood Education, you will receive a bonus of 10,000 yen a month on top of your salary. You must provide the original copy of the certificate.
 Additional bonuses include: Seasonal bonus (twice a year-based on performance), Perfect attendance bonus, Rent bonus (up to 15,000 yen), Transportation, & Long-term employment.
