説明

The 2nd largest private education group in Japan, Yaruki Switch Group boasts a track record of over 40 years in education and is comprised of 7 brands with more than 1,700 directly owned and franchise operated schools. We offer comprehensive training and support to ensure teachers can succeed in providing quality, engaging lessons, and enjoy themselves while doing so.

Positions are currently available at our Kids Duo Preschool/After-School Care branches all throughout the Greater Tokyo area (Tokyo, Kanagawa, Chiba, Saitama, etc.) and we are looking for enthusiastic and passionate teachers to join our team!

☆Benefits & Compensation☆

・Starting salary of ¥250,000/month (approx. $27.8K USD/year).

・Teachers receive fully-paid comprehensive initial training, during which accommodation and transportation reimbursement can be provided if necessary.

・Usable and transferable experience & skills gained via regular teaching workshops held throughout the year.

・Ten paid days of leave per year (after 6 months of employment), in addition to national holidays.

・Work-related commuting costs reimbursed.

・Social Security & Health Insurance provided.

・Visa sponsorship and renewal support available.

☆Main Responsibilities & Duties☆

Kids Duo focuses on fostering students’ confidence and enthusiasm in English via interactive games and activities. Our motto is “Play in English, Learn in English,” and with this mentality in mind we strive to create a fun, safe, and comfortable environment in which our students learn usable, real life English.

Kids Duo teachers take turns leading and supporting a variety of highly active games and activities, including Arts & Crafts, Music & Dance, Science, Social Studies, and Teachers Choice. Expect to conduct activities with both large and small groups (sometimes as many as 30 or more students) of children ages 3-12.

While a set curriculum and lesson plans for main activities are provided, teachers are expected to grow and expand on these foundations with their own unique and original games and lesson ideas; allowing ample creative freedom to personalize your teaching approach and inject passion and enthusiasm into your class.

Regular working hours fall within the hours of 9:00-20:30, typically Monday through Friday. Shifts are 9 hours per day (8 working hours with a 1-hour lunch break). Teachers also participate in occasional special events held on Saturdays & Sundays, including open schools, spelling bees, and recitals.

In addition to conducting and supporting lessons, teachers are expected to model proper behavior and life skills, play with students in between programs, help with school events, field trips, seasonal events, etc.

☆Qualifications / Requirements☆

In order to succeed as a Kids Duo teacher, applicants must be outgoing, extroverted, and able to maintain the level of enthusiasm and energy necessary to fulfill the highly active nature of the role in which the engagement and enthusiasm of your students depends on the level of energy you exhibit in your class.

No prior professional teaching experience is required, but experience interacting with and caring for children ages 3-12 is preferred (this includes volunteer, coaching, summer camps, and babysitting experience!) Our robust training program equips you with the skills and knowledge necessary to conduct our lessons and programs, but entering the position with knowledge of how to relate to and engage with young learners - particularly groups – will be a huge advantage to your success early on.

Kids Duo teachers must be ready to think on their feet, improvise, and consistently adapt to the unexpected. Being organized and flexible are also important skills to be able to succeed in this fast-paced and challenging work environment.

You must be team-oriented, and able to coordinate smoothly alongside a large and diverse teaching team.

Our native English speaking staff must be fully fluent in English, and able to speak with a neutral accent to ensure the proper instruction of phonics and pronunciation. While we of course employ and welcome applicants from a wide variety of nationalities and backgrounds, only applicants that are able to meet the highest standards of fluency will be considered.
