Description

The main responsibilities of GS Staff will be combination of front desk and concierge, taking care of guests staying at properties HT manages as well as owner themselves visiting their properties. During snow season guests are mostly from abroad, but in green season guests are Japanese, and the GS Staff needs to be able to not only checking in and out of properties but also responding to other requests guests may raise.

• Pre-arrival review on all necessary information such as bed configuration and other accommodation requirements and make sure all necessary actions are captured.

• Pre-arrival confirmation that all services such as transportation, rentals, ski school, etc are finalized and paid. If not arranged, recommend the guest to purchase from HT. If not paid, cancel before incurring cancellation fees.

• Check in and out at properties during green season and training/supporting seasonal staff in snow season in English.

• Concierge service to book taxis, restaurants, rentals, ski school, etc. both in English and Japanese.

• Back up reservation team responding to e-mails and phone calls in Japanese and in English when shifts require reservation support.

• Front desk and switch board at HT office during green season and training/supporting seasonal front desk staff during snow season in English.

Requirements:

• Four year college degree or tourism/hospitality education.

• Native Japanese, if not, L1 Japanese Language Proficiency Test as well as experience working in Japan for several years.

• Business level English in both oral and written. Any other Asian languages will be helpful
.
• Must be able to work comfortably with on-line applications and MS-Office products.

• Experience in tourism and hospitality business is helpful.

• Determined to provide high quality services and process each guest service request with accuracy.

• Being able to create friendly atmosphere with guests.

• Japanese Driver’s License or International Driver’s License.
