Description

Intro:
Gazza English School est. 2001 with two schools in and nearby Nagoya, has a full-time position available from April 2020 for an experienced individual who values teaching as profession.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who:
- is energetic, organized, reliable, punctual, motivated, well-presented and friendly.
- greatly enjoys teaching children.
- can take English out of the textbook and bring it to life for the students.
- can utilize our wide variety of teaching materials and realia.
- has experience writing and implementing detailed well-structured lesson plans.
- has a university degree, preferably in education.
- has some Japanese language skill.
- has experience teaching English in Japan.
- realizes the teacher is there for the students and can ‘read’ their students.

* Having own transport is desirable, however not necessary as public transport is available.

A Gazza English teaching position includes:
- paid in-class training and a comprehensive school orientation.

Position:
Full-time. Monday - Friday.

Interview process:
After first interview, a second interview including a demonstration lesson is required.

Start:
April 2020.

Contract duration:
2 years (April 2020 - March 2022). *Further future contracts available.

Compensation:
¥280 000 - ¥300 000. (First year). *Pay scale depending on qualifications and experience.
Initial contract completion bonus (¥100,000 ).
No sick day bonus (¥10,000 yen / 6 months).
Travel compensation (up to ¥10,000 / month).

Hours:
5 days / week (Mon. - Fri.).
4-5, 55 minute lessons / day.
Roughly 7 hours / day from 2:00 p.m. to allow for planning.

Holidays:
Approximately 7 weeks per year. Golden Week, Obon, winter vacation and others.

Locations:
Main - Kaguyama, Nisshin-city.
Branch - Arimatsu, Nagoya-city.

Students:
Ages - Kindergarten to adult, with the majority being elementary to junior high school.
Skill - Beginner, intermediate, advanced and semi-fluent.

Essential requirements: (Check list)
A university degree.
A valid working visa. (We can sponsor visas).
Able to commit to two years. (From start of April 2020 to end of March 2022).
A cover letter.
A recent photograph.
A resume.
After first interview, a second interview including a demonstration lesson is required.
Teaching work references with contact details.
A minimum of two-years teaching experience.
Be a very outgoing and a competent communicator with neat writing.
Have experience writing and teaching from detailed lesson plans.
