We are currently looking for an instructor with a science background who can teach Advanced Program that is the highest level in the RED Program.

[Requirements]
- Native level English
- Must have a master degree in natural science
- Must have experience teaching young students
- Must be able to respond flexibly to students who will have various English abilities and encourage them to love both science and English
- Must be professional, hardworking, passionate and love working with children and a diverse team
- Must currently reside in Japan (Visa sponsorship will not be provided)

[Job description/responsibilities]
- Teaching Advanced Program in the academic year of 2022-2023 (60 lessons per year )

<Duties>
- Make lesson preparation in consultation with the RED supervisor and other instructors regarding the class contents and materials.
- Hold a meeting with TAs before and after each class
- Check students’ attendance and report to the RED office staff
- Prepare classroom environment including desk and chair settings before each class and clean up after each class
- Write monthly reports for parents
- Write Teacher’s feedback for each student in the end of each term
- Attend weekly meetings with the RED supervisors, instructors, and office staff.
- Communicate with parents
- Participate in student recruitment activities including information sessions, and weekend guest scientist lectures

[Working Hours/Work Place]
3.75 hours per one lesson
- Lesson: Tuesday and Thursday, 2 hours per day (18:30-20:30)
- Lesson preparation: 1 hour/lesson
- Pre lesson meeting with TAs (Min. 30 minutes, Max. 45 minutes)
- Post lesson meeting with TAs, if necessary (Max. 15 minutes)

2 hours per week for regular meetings (the one with management and staff and the other with teachers)

Work Place: Musashi Academy of the Nezu Fundation (Musashi University Ekoda campus) in Nerima-ku, Tokyo

[Salary]
¥3500 ~ ¥5000 per hour
- Salary determined depends on past work experiences and expertise.
- Transportation allowance is up to \25,000 per month

- Salary raise possible after a year

- From August 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023
*The first class will be on Tuesday, September 13. You will be asked for some preparation meetings and do preparation for lessons in July and August.
