Description

【Native English teacher for junior high and high school students in Japan.】
★Able to speak English at native level.
★Non-Japanese or half-Japanese who can speak simple Japanese.
★Students from Europe and America are welcome.
★English teaching experience required.

【Details】
★You will be conducting American-style classes for Japanese junior high and high school
students for about 3-4 days at junior high schools and high schools in Japan.

★You will be in charge of groups of 6-8 students. (The total number of students is about 30-40)

★Classes will be conducted in a small-group format with a focus on conversation.
Textbooks will be provided.

The content is not difficult for native speakers to understand if you read the textbook in advance. The main focus of this program is to experience classes in English.
※You will be asked to come to Sakae Institute of Study Abroad (Akasaka, Minato-ku, Tokyo
*Closest station: Tameike-Sanno) once for training (practice) and conduct a class with several students for about 2 to 3 hours.

The discussion-based classes will be about Math, American History, etc. at the level of middle school or secondary school in the U.S. All classes will be held in English.The final goal of the program is for each group to decide on a theme (ex. environmental issues, what they learned in the program, etc.) and give a presentation on the final day.

Full transportation fare reimbursement.

If the site is a school in a rural area, transportation expenses, hotel expenses, and various
allowances will be paid separately.

①High Schools in Hiroshima
■Students
11th graders (35 students expected)
■Date
Tuesday, July 19 - Friday, July 22 Hours: 09:00-16:00 each day
*Stay at a hotel near the school from the day before
■Compensation
Pre-training fee (*about 3 hours @ Sakae Institute) 5,000 yen
5,000 yen per day for the first night (*Arrive at a hotel near the site around the evening of the
previous day), 15,000 yen for the day of class + 5,000 yen per day for lodging allowance.

Total of 85,000 yen for 4 days

②Junior high schools and high schools in Tokyo
■Students
9th and 10th graders (46 students expected)
■Date
Monday, August 1 - Wednesday, August 3 Hours: 09:00-16:00 each day
■Compensation
Pre-training fee (*about 3 hours @ Sakae Institute) 5,000 yen
15,000 yen for the day of class + 5,000 yen per day for lodging allowance.

Total of 50,000 yen

③Junior high schools and high schools in Chiba
■Students
7th and 11th graders (24 students expected)
■Date
Sunday, August 21 – Tuesday, August 23 Hours: 09:00-16:00 each day
■Compensation
Pre-training fee (*about 3 hours @ Sakae Institute) 5,000 yen
5,000 yen per day for the first night (*Arrive at a hotel near the site around the evening of the
previous day), 15,000 yen for the day of class + 5,000 yen per day for lodging allowance.

Total of 65,000 yen
