At RCS, we are seeking suitably qualified and talented individuals to join our team as an ALT. As the longest standing ALT provider to public schools across Japan, we have the network and experience to ensure a successful life in Japan.

What we require:

• Native English speakers
• Possess a minimum of 12 years of education where English is the primary language
• Minimum of Bachelor Degree
• Professional, polite, and flexible attitude
• Ability to commit to a 1-year contract
• Teaching experience is not necessary, but will be looked upon favorably
• Basic Japanese or willingness to learn

What is an ALT?

ALTs by their very name are an assistant to the Japanese teacher in the classroom. At RCS, we focus on team teaching. Our ALTs don’t have the pressure of being the T1/lead teacher, so you can really enjoy your job and build great relationships within your school community.

Our positions are for elementary and junior high schools. Scheduled workdays are Monday to Friday, 8:10 am – 4:45 pm. We also have part-time positions available.
