English teacher for AIC Kids Shiga (expired)

The programme:

At AIC Kids we teach English to children in an all-English setting. This immersion helps set us apart from other English conversation classes. Our students take the Eiken test in order to mark their progress, so our curriculum is partially geared toward helping them achieve their desired level, but it is by no means the be-all-end-all of our classes!

This position will also be covering some classes at English Island in the same location.

We are looking for a reliable, experienced teacher to work at one of our schools in Nagahama, Shiga.

Training will take place at our main school in Hiroshima for five days. All transportation and accommodation costs for training will be covered by the company.

Working hours : 2:00pm - 8:30pm(Tue - Fri), 12:00 - 9:00pm(Saturday)

Contract term: Start date - February 2021 (renewed yearly)
Students age: between 5 and 15 (Jr high students and elementary students are in separate classes)
Class size: up to 8 kids
Working day: 5 days a week, Tuesday - Saturday

Salary: 280,000yen per month
Transportation costs covered up to 30,000 yen per month

Insurances : Social, Health, Pension, unemployment

Japanese ability is a plus, but not required
