Description

COMPANY BACKGROUND;

Global Kids Place is an English immersion After school located in Sangenjyaya on the Showa Women`s University campus. Our After school is open from 1pm to 7pm and students arrive between 2pm and 4pm. Every day there is 1 hour of English class, and 1 hour of an extra-curricular activity (Monday is Capoeira&Art, Tuesday is Art, Wednesday is IT & Dance, Thursday is Art, Friday is IT). English classes are separated by levels, and the maximum number of children per class is 15 students. Our students’ age range from 5 to 10 years old.

We have a great team of teachers from diverse backgrounds such as England, France, Australia and The Dominican Republic! We are currently recruiting to hire a full time teacher to join our team from January 2019.

POSITION DETAILS;
Native English teacher to teach English as a second language to children aged 5yrs old to 10 years old. Apart from teaching, hours outside class time involves playing with kids and immersing them into a fun English environment.
The work week is Monday to Friday from 10am to 7pm with a one hour break, and the teacher is expected to plan lessons alongside the curriculum advisor before students arrive to the school. Whilst the students are at the school, we expect full attention on the students even outside of lesson hours.
Paid vacation days are every Saturday and Sunday, public holidays, two weeks during summer and 5 days in winter(to be taken according to the school calendar). Spring and Summer holiday shifts are 9.5 hours inclusive of a one hour break.
Full staff training will be provided.

IDEAL CANDIDATE
We are looking for a passionate teacher of a Native English background, and have either a university degree specialized in education, or previous work experience with childhood education (min 2 years). The candidate must be a reliable, dedicated, professional teacher who is keen to provide new and innovative ways to teach children English as a second language. The candidate must genuinely like children and also enjoy interacting with them between classes. The candidate is expected to plan lessons in advance, and be proactive in improving and working on the curriculum with fellow peers and managers.
It is preferred that the candidate is good at IT and/or Art.

LOCATION: The school is located 5 to 7 minutes walk from Sangenjyaya station on the Denentoshi line.

START DATE: December 2019

COMPENSATION: The wage is inclusive of the social insurance package (Shakai hoken)- health insurance, pension and unemployment insurance.

The first three months will be a probation period. Each year, will be entitled to receive a bonus based on the company`s financial performance and on your individual performance.

RECRUITMENT PROCESS: Global Kids Place K.K will screen resumes to check that minimum requirements are met. Candidates will be contacted to arrange face-to-face interviews at our After school. Candidates will be asked to bring with them their residence cards, CV and letters of reference (if applicable). Following the first round of interviews, candidates will be short-listed to conduct a trial lesson.
