Best Eikaiwa is an independent English school in Maizuru City, Kyoto Prefecture. We are seeking a qualified full time English teacher. Candidates must be qualified, hard working, and bring a positive enthusiastic attitude every day.

We would like applicants to be able to start either mid July or early August. Candidates for this position must currently be residing in Japan. Visa sponsorship available.

Location:
Maizuru city is a mid size suburban city located in northern Kyoto prefecture. Applicants will need to either be willing to relocate to Maizuru or be able to commute to Maizuru daily. (No remote work available)

Qualifications:
● applicants must be native or highly fluent English speakers. (Non native applicants may require additional proof of English proficiency)
● Applicants with verifiable teaching qualifications/experience will be highly prioritized over those without (TEFL, TESOL, etc.)
● Applicants must be comfortable working with both children and adult clients
● Applicants must bring an enthusiastic and motivated attitude to the workplace every day :)

Job duties:
● teach a wide range of students. (students are predominantly elementary-middle school age, the rest are high school age or adults)
● organize and maintain set lesson plans. (Curriculum already provided)
● Be able to employ a variety of teaching methods depending on the level and goals of the students.
● Be able to work afternoons and evenings
● Be able to work up to 40 hr work weeks (no overtime required)

Compensation:
Contracts are issued and renewed annually.
Salary: ¥250,000/month (First month max. ¥200,000- due to training period. Bonus of ¥50,000 on completion of contract.) Second year contract signing will increase the monthly salary by ¥5000.
