Description

Title: Packaging Technical Manager
Industry: Foods & Beverages, FMCG
Location: Japan

Qualification: Bachelor Degree / PG in Packaging Technology or equivalent.
Experience: 4-6 Years Preferred (all candidates with packaging, manufacturing, supplier quality, or related experience welcome)

Type of Role: Full Time with Packfora for multiple years
Does this role require travelling? 25 – 30% travelling
Reporting Line: Regional Packaging Cluster Leads

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead & support professional technical packaging projects identified for execution.
• Work with suppliers on Validation efforts to confirm product performance, Specification finalization and establishing quality attributes.
• Need to be versed in foodservice packaging technology from both an engineering and manufacturing quality perspective
• Capable of leveraging supplier data as well as 3rd party lab data to complete full qualification of new products to enable successful launches in businesses globally.
• Qualify around 200 to 300 new products establishing and approving specifications of each.
• Participate in Project plans and milestone realization.
• Document, report and maintain all critical information related to the project.

Key Skills:

• Experienced Packaging Professional with food industry exposure preferred.
• Proficient in stakeholder management and interaction.
• Flexibles and Rigid Packaging Technology understanding and experience.
• Awareness on Quality systems, approval criteria, troubleshooting and trials.
• Project management, component validation, supplier development, new technologies awareness and understanding is preferable.
• Insights on Industry Best Practices.
• Exposure to Specification management, artwork management software will be an advantage.
• Working knowledge on standard software like MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, MS Teams.
• Awareness on statistical software like Minitab and 2D/3D design using AutoCAD will be a plus.
