“What's EEMSS?”
EEMSS stands for English for Everyone at Mishima Shingaku Seminar. EEMSS was established in August 2008 in response to a growing distrust amongst English learners in Japan following the collapse of a major English conversation school chain. In January 2011, EEMSS became independent as a stand-alone entity separate from the juku (cram school) which had initially founded it. From April 2011 kindergarten and elementary school student lessons were added to the line-up, creating a school where students from all walks of life in both Mishima and other surrounding areas can learn and grow. Please also see our school website and Facebook page to take a peek at what’s EEMSS like.

“What's Mishima like?”
Mishima is a base town for popular tourist destinations such as Izu, Hakone, and Mt. Fuji. Its exciting summer festival draws about 500,000 visitors during a three-day period every year, which is nearly five times the city’s population (The festival was canceled for the past two years due to the COVID-19). EEMSS is on the top floor of a three-story building and the view of Mt. Fuji from our classroom is breathtaking. Living and working in the Eastern part of Shizuoka will give you unforgettable lifetime experiences. Furthermore, unlike big cities such as Tokyo and Osaka, the living cost is quite reasonable, which allows you to save money for traveling in/out of Japan.
