Modis Design is looking for a creative and enthusiastic Bilingual Coordinator to join our Tokyo team.

Modis Design is a small Tokyo-based communications agency offering excellence in communications design. Since 2006 we have been delivering world-class language services and creative solutions for a broad range of clients, from large multinationals, to government departments and well-known Japanese brands. We are proud of the work we produce and passionate about what we do.

We are looking for someone with the skills and initiative to coordinate a wide range of English/Japanese language projects. We have strong relationships with our clients and you will have the chance to work with them closely.

Your main responsibilities will be:
• Be the primary point of contact for client contacts
• Respond to client requests for new project initiatives
• Collaborate with members of the production and sales teams to assess the scope of work and produce cost estimates
• Help develop project proposals and negotiate budget and schedule with the client
• Monitor and communicate project progress, with an aim to meet deadlines and budgets with highest quality deliverables
• Perform other duties and tasks as required

The ideal candidate will have:
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
• Native-level English with fluency in Japanese OR native-level Japanese with strong English communication skills
• Experience or interest in creative management and digital marketing and communications, including web design and localization
• Willingness to coordinate with freelancers and external vendors to see projects through to a successful conclusion
• Experience in a client-facing role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and preferably Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign)
• A ‘can-do’ attitude, a team player, agility and flexibility
