Description

Your main job will be to manage the Yamaura Stay farmhouses, our private lodging facilities produced by the up-and-coming Japanologist Alex Kerr.
When you are not running the farmhouses, you will be involved in our other products and services, such as our original activities and tours (Yamaura Adventures), local tourism promotion, and sales.

As a lodging manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the accommodations. You will be in charge of planning and coordinating the hotel services, ensuring that operations run smoothly, managing the staff, organizing promotional campaigns with the marketing team, and coming up with new ideas to increase the guests’ satisfaction and improve the overall stay experience.

As the COVID-19 pandemic is still raging, our current guests are mainly Japanese. However, once international travel restarts, we expect to receive a good deal or reservations from foreigners as well. That is why we are looking for an internationally-minded person who can communicate smoothly with national and international visitors alike.

Your secondary responsibilities, which will be shared with other team members, include taking reservations, carrying out check-ins and check-outs, acting as a language facilitator during activities, conducting guide tours in English, and inbound promotion and sales.
