Berkeley House Language Center is seeking a cheerful, friendly and experienced English instructors for full time positions starting April 2020 in Tokyo area.The position will be mainly at private junior/senior high schools in the Tokyo area but may include multiple schools/venues depending on each school's schedule.

We provide on-boarding training sessions, various pre-assignment trainings with our in-house trainers/senior instructors, as well as specialized training in various standardized tests by our IELTS and TOEFL experts. Our in-house trainers, curriculum department and the education department are always happy to work with you so that instructors can deliver their best possible lesson to our clients
-Instructors can expect a friendly environment where there is open communication among instructors and with staff - a mentor instructor will be available to address any questions/concerns you may have, not only about teaching but also about working with Berkeley House, living in Japan, and about life in general if required. Seasonal events are planned for instructors to promote communication and socialization.
General Schedule & Conditions:.
-Five days a week between Monday ~ Saturday
-Typically Monday to Friday but depending on assignment Tuesday to Saturday is possible
At junior/senior high schools, the basic schedule should be from 8:30am - 3/4/5:00pm
-5 lessons on average per day would be typical but could change case by case
-work other than teaching: preparing materials/tests, taking care of extra activities
-must be able to work with Japanese teachers effectively
-may need to occasionally work outside of regular hours for school events
-depending on assignment, may require teaching at multiple locations
At other locations, teaching venues could be
-a private college in Tokyo area
-university extension courses on campuses
-one to one lessons at our school in Ichigaya
-250,000 yen a month + transportation expenses will be reimbursed monthly
-Completion bonus at the end of school year
-Social insurance coverage (health insurance + pension), employment insurance coverage
-Paid vacation days of 10 after six months of employment
Contract period: April 2020 - Mar 2021
