GUEST SERVICES Team Member at our newest boutique hotel in Takayama,Gifu (eph TAKAYAMA). We are looking for ‘entertainers’ of the hospitality industry -- where your main goal is to ensure that guests have a great time in Japan, and even greater experience staying in our hotels and accommodations.

We currently manage over 60 boutique hotels, traditional Japanese holiday houses, ryokans, and restaurant/cafe/bars in cities throughout Japan (Kyoto, Takayama, Kanazawa) and overseas (Australia).

eph TAKAYAMA (Hotel) is our newest hotel that we are excited to introduce to travelers.
-12 rooms + 1 cafe
-1 minute walk from TAKAYAMA station

- Ensure guest satisfaction via concierge services, special requests, and more.
- Guest Service assistance via telephone, email, and in-person.
- Check-in & check-out guests, issue room keys, assist with payments.
- Offer local recommendations based on guest needs (restaurants, sightseeing attractions, local events, staff recommendations, etc.).
- Ensure reservations are in order, organize and prepare for future guests.
- Share and execute new ideas so guests leave with a great experience, and wanting to return to Japan.
- Daily administrative duties.

- ENGLISH: Business-level or higher
- JAPANESE: Business-level or higher
- Basic Computer skills
- 3 or more years of work experience (in any industry)

- Starting from 233,000 yen~/month *
*Salary is negotiable and will depend on prior experience, skills, etc.
*Salary includes 20 hours/month overtime allowance (Overtime Allowance will be included in your monthly salary whether you work overtime or not)

- COMMUTING ALLOWANCE: max. 30,000 yen/month
- BONUS SALARY: Semi-Annual(Based on performance)

-Housing Allowance: 50% of monthly rent (max. of 30,000 yen/per month)
-Transportation Fee: max. of 30,000 yen/per month
-Moving Allowance: (Maximum limit for allowance, contact us for more details)

- 3 months
- Monthly salary minus overtime allowance (No overtime during training period)

- 8~9 hours / per day (Monthly Rotating Shift Schedule)
- 5 days / per week
- 2 days Off / per week
- Shift Examples: 7AM-4PM / 2PM-11PM / 11PM-8AM
*Night Shift currently unavailable for female staff

- More than 1 position available if qualified candidates apply.
- NO prior experience in travel or hospitality industry is required.

1) After initial resume reviewing, we will select the ideal candidates.
2) For local/nearby ideal candidates, we will ask for an in-person interview.
For candidates outside of Takayama/Kyoto; we will conduct a Skype interview.
3) Selected candidates will be asked to come to Kyoto (Head Office) for the final interview.
(We will notify selected candidates within 2-3 weeks)
