Early Education Content Writer


Laurus International School of Science is seeking an enthusiastic intellectual to join our team of innovative educators. In this role, the applicant will be the lead content writer/developer for an original and engaging eLearning platform. Responsible for a range of duties relating to the development of this exciting new project, the successful candidate will liaise with various members of our team to produce high quality materials, manage additional contributors and report on progress to senior management.

We promote project-based learning through a wide range of hands-on science experiments, utilizing science labs and the latest technology such as programmable robots and 3D printers and eLearning platforms.


Job Summary

-Lead content writer for original eLearning platform
-Create original educational content for young learners (including graded, decodable and subject specific content)
-Write non-fiction, science-based texts for young learners, including ESL learners.
-Manage freelance writers
-Liaise with designers, illustrators and software developers to produce high quality educational material

Job Requirements

-Experience in content creation (writing articles, curriculum development, educational materials etc)
-Exceptional English communication skills
-Exceptional writing skills
-Applicants must be native speakers of English.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

-Create, build and guide the creation of a new eLearning material
-Produce high-quality online learning content, including interactive exercises and assessments
-Deploy and manage learning content to ensure the content is up-to-date and staged for usage
-Work within established project processes, collaborate with team members, and meet project deliverables

Qualifications

-A minimum of two years experience as an educational content creator, copywriter, journalist or other related field is strongly preferred
-Bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant field
-Ability to collaborate with peers and communicate closely with other teams to ensure project requirements are clear, agreed upon, and realistic to meet objectives
-Strong active listening, written and oral communication skills
-Ability to work independently and also as a part of a high-functioning, collaborative team
-Exceptional project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines; ability to multitask, prioritize, work independently and collaboratively, and make decisions; manage and develop projects based on priority and project stage
-Highly motivated, collaborative and creative
-Candidates with CELTA/TESOL/TEFL qualifications and other ESL experience are welcome to apply

Salary

¥270,000 - ¥320,000 a month depending on experience
