POSITION SUMMARY
The Sales and Marketing Manager will be responsible for the overall brand strategy, sales results, and the development of customers for a Japan-based property & hotel management service company specializing in a portfolio of luxury boutique properties and serviced apartments, which is targeted to grow to 200 units within the next 3 years. He /She will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive online and offline marketing strategy, rental revenue, yield strategies, budget implementation, forecasting, and an optimal mix of business targets. Strategies will include positioning, market mix (geographic and demographic), direct sales, pricing promotions, and public relations. Candidates must have a dynamic leadership style, possessing excellent communication and decision- making skills and an astute business acumen.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 The Sales & Marketing Manager works closely with the General Manager to determine appropriate marketing and sales strategies in all market segments in order to maximize the hotel/properties revenues.
 Enhance the brand positioning of the properties to drive organic growth.
 Develop rates, group sales deployment strategies through review of competitive data, demand analysis and mix management.
 Direct and manage all group, transient, and banquet sales activities to maximize revenue for the properties
 Drive growth in room-night bookings through on-line and offline channels.
 Prepare sustainable action plans which accurately reflect the impact of key local economic factors and trends influencing property and hotel management market growth.
 Demonstrate keen knowledge of the demand segments and exploit all opportunities to maximize revenues.
 Understand the principal competition for each demand segment and take advantage of the properties’ relative strengths to secure premium market share.
 Identify major revenue opportunities which contribute to the operating strategy to optimize profitability.
 Forecast business changes based on evolving market and economic conditions and adjust activities to maintain or exceed planned objectives.
 Prepares Sales Reports and annual Sales & Marketing Plan.
 Strategize and lead the implementation of operational staff training in the company’s reservations & sales programs.


DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
 Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, marketing or related field.
 Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the sales/marketing/hospitality profession, with an especial focus on SEO and SEM in Northern and SE Asia.
 Minimum 7 years of sales and marketing experience with internationally recognized luxury holiday properties or hospitality brands. Strong networking and contacts among international sales channels of luxury holiday properties or hotels and property chains will be advantageous.
 Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and hotel management systems.
 Command of both written and verbal English required; Japanese proficiency preferred.
 Leadership, sales, and presentation skills; flexibility, decisiveness, motivation, reliability and creativity.
