Description

Borderlink, Inc. is now hiring flexible and self-motivated individuals to join us as Assistant Language Teachers (ALTs) starting from Spring 2019! We are still accepting applicants living abroad, but the window is closing fast. We encourage you to apply as soon as possible.

For those already living in Japan, please see information about our orientation sessions at the end of this advertisement.*

Responsibilities and Benefits include:

-Work in public elementary and/or junior high schools across eastern Japan (Kanto and surrounding areas).

-Work normal public school hours, enjoying free evenings and weekends. This also includes national holidays and winter/summer school breaks.

-Teach alongside a Japanese teacher, and experience communicating with students and school staff throughout the day inside and outside of class.

-Enjoy the opportunity to eat and play with the students during lunch/recess, participate in school festivals, clubs and events, and much more throughout the school year.

-We help you get prepared to make the trip to Japan and provide sponsorship/support for Immigration/Visa matters.

-We'll get you ready to step into the classroom with an extensive orientation & training session for new employees. Get acclimated to Japan and the Borderlink teaching system before you start your first day of school! This training continues with seasonal sessions hosted by our team of veteran trainers and even specialized 1-on-1 training when required.

-Never created a class lesson plan before? No problem! Our ever-expanding database of materials and worksheets is made available for all our ALTs to use and adapt to best fit their classes. We believe in offering flexibility to our teachers and appreciate your creative input and new ideas.

-We offer help setting up bank account, finding accommodations, and 24/7 support for any kind of daily life issue.

-With Borderlink, there's always room for growth. Many in our management team began as ALTs or teachers themselves, and over the years accumulated the knowledge and skills to pass on to others.

With the increased focus the Japanese education system has placed on English during the run-up to the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, the need for high-quality ALTs has risen. Although prior teaching experience and Japanese ability are not required, they are highly sought after. Cities want the best. Here at Borderlink, we'll work to help you be the best. Whether you have prior experience in education or not, we're ready to believe in your possibility, and help you realize your potential as a teacher.

If this sounds like the opportunity you've been waiting for, we're waiting to hear from you! Please apply today, and thank you for your interest in Borderlink!

*Already in Japan? We will be holding domestic candidate orientation sessions in Tokyo (Takadanobaba) and Saitama (Omiya) on December 15th, 2018. Space is limited, so please apply now directly through this advertisement.

**Please note that as we receive a high number of applicants, only those who pass the initial screening will be contacted for an interview.
