We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented export advisor

About the job
As an export adviser at the Danish Embassy in Tokyo, you work with advice and solutions for Danish companies in the field of export to and internationalization in Japan.

Your goal is to pave the way for Danish companies' activities in the Japanese market through, for example, sales consultancy, partner search, market research and advice on and implementation of export promotion projects. In other words, your task will be a bridge between your customers in Danish companies, their Japanese partners, organizations and authorities in Denmark and Japan.

You solve advisory tasks in collaboration with the other 10 export advisors in Japan and can look forward to a challenging job where you get the freedom to think business. The Trade Council carries out counseling on a fee basis and with the position comes a number of performance targets, including value creation, customer satisfaction as well as earnings.

Qualifications
You have a good knowledge of Japanese and Danish business. In addition, you have several years of specific sales and export experience - also from Japan. You have intercultural understanding and delivered convincing results on the bottom line. At the same time, you have a thorough knowledge of Danish business and Danish business skills and can draw on a solid network. Finally, you have good communication skills in Japanese and English, and probably also Danish.

You are committed, outgoing and result oriented. You can create close and systematic customer relations all the way from proactive sales to carrying out business tasks. You can identify new opportunities and translate this into concrete advice. You can create and maintain extensive networks.

You work efficiently on your own while at the same time having strong working skills in relation to customers, collaborators and colleagues. You have cultural understanding. You can plan and prioritize your resources in order to meet the performance requirements associated with the position.

Sector Focus
We work sector-focused and our staff are similarly recruited based on industry knowledge. In Tokyo, the most important sectors are largely covered. This applies to food, furniture and design, health, tech, energy and the environment. The most obvious sector where there is an uncovered potential is the machinery industry, so knowledge of this area will be an advantage. At the same time, we believe that the ability to operate across sectors combined with the right personality will be what characterizes the best candidate.

Terms
You will get a fixed-term contract with the embassy in Tokyo of 2 years with the opportunity to apply for extension by 2-3 years. Salary is determined by agreement between the state and the relevant professional organization.
