Description

We are looking for a highly-motivated IT professional to join the Tokyo office of Jones Day, a premier global law firm with 44 offices around the world.

If you are looking to join an international work place where you can use your technology expertise, management skills, and language capability, this might be the position for you!

A successful candidate will serve as a local IT helpdesk, servicing the needs of end-users in the firm's Tokyo office, manage vendor contracts, and oversee deliverables. In addition, he/she will liaise and work hand-in-hand with the firmwide technology department as well as regional technology manager to carry out large-scale IT projects. Summary of Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Technology Support Manager is responsible for the technical and operational oversight and support of the Firm’s hardware and software systems as well as the management of the Technology Support Services (TSS) Department. The Technology Support Manager is expected to demonstrate initiative, set priorities, ensure timely and accurate completion of assignments, and ensure compliance with Firm and Office policies and procedures. He/she is also required to maintain expertise in the tasks and services provided by the TSS Department and to work on tasks assigned to the department.

Required Qualifications:

•Minimum of several years’ experience in a computer-related field
•Position requires a four year college degree preferably in Computer Science or Information Technology
•Bilingual or multilingual – must be proficient in English and Japanese
