Description

Anime Now! is currently looking for a freelance contributing writer. The contributor will be expected to write anime-related articles on a daily basis. Article topics will range from interviews and event reports to analytical, yet entertaining, explorations of current and upcoming anime.

Other duties may include translation, research, email correspondence, attending events, and updating the site's anime guide.

Requirements:
•Native English language skills
•Professional writing experience
•Experience producing articles consistently and on a set schedule
•Living in Tokyo area (or living in Japan and willing to relocate)
•N2 level Japanese Proficiency
•Knowledge of anime and anime culture

Preferred:
•Experience writing about anime
•Experience doing interviews
•Event coverage experience
•Photography experience
•Knowledge of currently airing anime
•Knowledge of the anime industry

Visa Sponsorship is available.

Job is scheduled to begin in late March to early April.

Salary: 150,000 yen to 250,000 yen per month.

Interested parties should submit a resume, cover letter, and a 400-word writing sample focusing on a single positive aspect (themes, music, art style, etc.) of a currently airing anime.
