Description

JIEM is developing a new, large-scale English test.
We are currently recruiting part-time English Speaking Test Facilitators for our expanding facilitator team.

[Job Description/Responsibilities]
1. Conduct English Speaking tests
2. Create English test items


[Qualifications]
1.Native English speaker, defined as someone whose primary and secondary education was conducted in English, and raised in an English-speaking country(s)

2.Education: Bachelor’s Degree, (or higher ), preferred

3.Experience teaching EFL/ESL, conducting English speaking tests, or interviewing people preferred

4.Required skill(s):
・Must be able to speak clearly and smoothly
・Can quickly assimilate instructions and perform interviews in strict conformance to those instructions
・Can be relied upon to work without supervision

5.Computer and computer skills
・Must possess computer skills sufficient for online training, communication, writing, and item submission
・Must adhere to information security measures

6.Flexible schedule
・Must be able to attend training sessions, which may be conducted online or face-to-face
・Must be able to travel to testing sites in the Tokyo area
・Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

7.Must currently reside in Japan and have a valid visa that allows you to live and work in Japan.
A valid visa status would indicate individuals holding "Specialist in Humanities/ International Services", or other visas with additional "exemptions to work outside of designated activities", and/or any other status that holds no limitations or restrictions to live and to work in Japan.

[Work Location]
On-site (JIEM Office or Test Center)

[Work Hours]
There will be 12 to 15 hours of training between May 11 and June 5.
During the testing period, you may be required to work at least 12 hours a week.

[Job Type]
Part-time (a fixed-term project-based hire. The first contract is for a month and is renewable throughout the testing period)

[Salary]
・On testing days, you will be paid ¥1,700 per test. Each test takes approximately 50 minutes.
※If the test taker doesn’t show up, you will be required to do other work, such as creating English test items. The salary will be the same.
・Training Period: ¥1,000/Hour
・Transportation cost will be reimbursed up to ¥20,000/Month

[Starting Date]
Training will tentatively begin May 11, 2015. *The first 2 weeks are classed as the training period.
* During the training period you are required to complete all of the training blocks (12-15 hours) in order to gain qualification as a Facilitator.
The Testing Period will begin around the second week of June.
