Description

The Maureen and Mike Mansfield Foundation seeks a Program Assistant/Office Manager for the organization’s Tokyo office. The Maureen and Mike Mansfield Foundation is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization created in 1983 to advance Maureen and Mike Mansfield’s life-long efforts to promote understanding and cooperation among the nations and peoples of Asia and the United States. Through close collaboration among offices in Washington, D.C., Missoula, Montana, and Tokyo, the Foundation conducts exchanges, dialogues and publications that create networks among U.S. and Asian leaders, explore the underlying issues influencing public policies, and increase awareness about the nations and people of Asia.

Responsibilities
• Assist with the financial administration of the Mansfield Foundation Tokyo office. Prepare a monthly disbursement estimate, pay invoices, and make a financial report for the Montana financial office. Monitor Tokyo office’s bank account by coordinating with Montana financial office.
• Assist Foundation’s various program implementations in Japan, the U.S. and other area.
• Perform clerical duties, including but not limited to: answering phones, creating and editing correspondence, organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files, mailing, and ordering office supplies.
• Update Tokyo office’s mailing list
• Oversee computer operations
• Translate documents and assist with informational materials
• Research
• Provide support to Mansfield Fellows
• Help coordinate and staff Tokyo office’s special functions
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the Director and Associate Director of the Foundation’s Tokyo office

Qualifications
• Japanese (native level)
• Bachelor’s degree/study in the U.S. experience preferred
• English proficiency and strong written and oral communication skills in both Japanese and English
• 1-2 years’ work experience
• Computer skills, including research on the Internet, Word, Excel
• Excellent problem-solving skills and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multi-task and attention to details
• Ability to work with a diverse group of people
• Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Interest in U.S.-Asia relations, public policy

求める人材
1. 必要な語学力 日本語(ネイティブレベル)、英語(ビジネス会話、文書作成可能)
2. 学士号、米国留学経験および1~2年の実務経験
3. アジアと米国の関係促進、公共政策に興味がある
4. パソコン操作(Windows PCでの、Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, インターネット、電子メール等)
5. 心身ともに健康で、責任感があり、協調性がある
6. イニシャテブがとれ、問題解決能力があり、高いコミュニケーション能力を持つ
7. 細かい作業を拒まず、同時にいくつかの業務をこなせる
8. 多様な人材やグループへの接遇が可能
