★The WinBe Method★

At WinBe, our purpose is to provide practical and usable supplemental English education to students all over Japan. Our focus lies not only in the academic success of our students, but also in building their confidence, independence, and sense of self-determination - we see English fluency as a valuable tool with which our students can excel in life and achieve any goal they set their minds to, rather than a goal in and of itself.

Instructors are encouraged to provide students with fun & creative classes that focus on real-life conversational skills - we believe when students are having fun, they are more engaged; and when instructors are having fun, they provide the best possible lessons! While WinBe has a set curriculum, instructors use their creativity to prepare fun and interesting classes that best suit their students; this allows ample creative freedom to inject passion and enthusiasm into your class.

WinBe instructors can expect to teach groups of up to 6 students aged 3-14 in independently taught 50-minute lessons. These lessons follow a goal-based curriculum in which teachers introduce grammatical, phonetical, and vocabulary-focused concepts using both the provided materials, as well as their own creativity and ingenuity.

★Qualifications / Requirements★

In order to succeed as a WinBe teacher, applicants must be outgoing, extroverted, and able to maintain the level of enthusiasm and energy necessary to fulfill the highly active nature of the role. The engagement and enthusiasm of your students depend on the level of energy you exhibit in your class!

No prior professional teaching experience is required, but experience interacting with and caring for children ages 3-14 is preferred (this includes volunteer, coaching, summer camps, and babysitting experience!) Our robust training program equips you with the skills and knowledge necessary to conduct our lessons and programs, but entering the position with knowledge of how to relate to and engage with young learners will be a huge advantage to your success early on.

WinBe teachers must be ready to think on their feet, improvise, and consistently adapt to the unexpected. Being organized and flexible are also important skills to be able to succeed in this fast-paced and challenging work environment.

Our native English speaking staff must be fully fluent in English, and able to speak with a neutral accent to ensure the proper instruction of phonics and pronunciation. While we of course employ and welcome applicants from a wide variety of nationalities and backgrounds, only applicants that are able to meet the highest standards of fluency will be considered.

Due to current travel and visa sponsorship restrictions resulting from the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, we are currently only able to consider candidates already living in Japan.

(Note: While we sincerely appreciate all applications, only those candidates selected for interview will be contacted.)
