BCIS is hiring NATIVE English-speaking teachers to teach at B.C.I.S. preschools/kindergartens at Setagaya and Ariake in Tokyo and Yokohama, and we're going to open another one in Kaihin Makuhari.

Duties will be curriculum development/updating, teaching classes, dealing with students' needs and parents, and planning/managing school events. Also, before and after class time, you will meet and send off the students.

Go on field trips, and camping events and join Sports Day, Christmas events, etc. These events are often on a weekend. When this happens a make-up day is given in lieu.

Japanese language skills are NOT required for this position. However, having the ability to speak Japanese is an advantage to any applicant. Applicants must be native speakers of English. With ALL 12 years of primary school and high school taught in English, as well as university. Successful applicants must hold a valid residence card and visa that allows them to work legally in Japan.

A Bachelor's degree or higher is required.

The details for this full-time position are listed below:
-Teaching experiences for children aged 2 to 7 years old children is required, with no less than 3 years of experience.

-School Hours: 8:00 to 19:00, Monday - Friday
-Working Hours: 9 hours per day ※including 1 hour break
It will depend on the school to which you are assigned.
※Must follow the work shift provided by BCIS.
-Located in Setagaya ward, Ariake, Koto Ward, Tokyo and/or Center-Mianami, Tsuzuki Ward, Yokohama

-Overtime work: No
-Holidays: Saturday, Sunday, National Holidays, Year-end/new year break, summer break
-As mentioned, normal holidays are as above. However, there are some events on the weekends throughout the year when this happens the teachers are given an additional day off in lieu of the day worked.
-Paid holidays: Yes, after 6 months of employment in line with Japanese Labor Law

-Salary:
・¥280,000yen/month minimum starting salary if you have at least 3 years teaching experience in English to children ages 2 to 7.

・¥310,000yen/month minimum including ¥ 30,000 monthly license allowance starting salary for qualified teachers with a teacher's license from the USA, Canada, UK, Australia, or New Zealand. The teacher should still have at least 3 years teaching experience in English to children ages 2 to 7.

*Part-time position is also available at the same time.
