Description
Katoh Gakuen is a private Japanese school (K-12) in Numazu, Shizuoka - one hour south of Tokyo on the Pacific Coast. The school is an English immersion program for Japanese students. Students who complete the elementary program complete their secondary studies in our International Baccalaureate program.
Classroom teachers teach the Japanese national curriculum (Math, Science, Social Studies, Art, Music, PE, etc.) in English. Teachers work in collaboration with other Japanese and foreign teachers at your grade level.
Work Hours: M-F, 8:00AM - 4:40PM
Starting yearly salary is based on experience and level of education and ranges between 3.4 million and 5.0 million. Housing Allowances, Health Insurance, Pension.
Teachers must have elementary teacher certification from their home country and several years of elementary school teaching experience. Additional training and experience in TESOL are advantageous.
