Berkeley House Language Center is urgently seeking a diligent, friendly, and experienced English instructor for a special program at university in Koto City, Tokyo for those who are going abroad to study next year.
Location:
A 5-minute walk from Kokusai-Tenjijo Station
Schedule: 13:10-14:50 on Friday
Dates: Nov 1st, 8th, 22nd, 29th, Dec 6th, 13th, 20th, Jan 10th and 24th (9 sessions in total)
Remuneration: 10,000 yen per lesson* +Transportation.
*This should include all the duties incurred with the position such as preparation, homework checking, grading at the end of the course, etc.
Content: Study abroad prep-program
"As part of their preparation for their study abroad program, students will participate in various role-play activities, conduct research to gather basic information and learn about the characteristics of the destination region such as its geography, climate, culture, history, population trends, and major industries. They will also engage in discussions about different situations and values in various regions. The aim of this course is to help students create a research proposal in English for their Individual Global Project and write "S.M.A.R.T. Goal Declarations".
We are looking for instructors who ….
-Have a minimum of 3 years experience teaching EFL at university/college in Japan
-Have a minimum of 3 years of experience teaching the appropriate age group
-Hold a teaching certificate from an accredited organization, such as TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, etc.
-Are team-players
Important notes:
-All the materials/instructions are provided by Berkeley House.
-The instructors are required to join the orientation/training session; it is to be held in summer.
