A part-time teaching position is available at a private junior and senior high school.
Teaching load will include both ELL lessons for non-native students and returnee lessons (U.S. style English literature and grammar), so the candidate must be able to teach and make materials for a literature-based class. In your application, please describe the experience and skills you have to teach a class of this kind.
The monthly salary includes any lesson-planning, test-making, grading (quizzes, essays, and exams), department meetings, faculty collaboration, entrance-exam related events, or administrative duties that coincide with lessons. Teachers are expected to create their own lesson plans with support.
Lessons are held Monday through Friday, and the teacher will be assigned 10 to 12 lessons per week. This position requires the candidate to come five days a week during lesson hours.
Additionally, there is a paid transportation subsidy to and from school (actual expense).
After school classes are available (voluntary), and are a way to earn generous extra pay.
Qualified candidates will be hired immediately. Contracts are for the remainder of the academic year (until the end of March) and renewable upon mutual agreement.
This position is not eligible for employer-sponsored relocation.
When applying, please provide a resume that includes your photograph. Also inform us of your current visa status and expiration date.
