Laurus International School of Science requires enthusiastic and experienced individuals for the position of Preschool / Kindergarten Teacher, working with young learners aged from 1.5 - 6 yrs old. OUR SCHOOL:
Laurus International School of Science is the first and only STEM school in Japan. We embrace the latest technology and teaching methodologies to prepare the children of today for the world of tomorrow, and all the promise that holds. With a strong focus on science at all levels, we strive to develop each child’s inquisitive mind. Children are introduced to inquiry-based learning from an early age to foster their natural curiosity and thirst for knowledge. We promote project-based learning through a wide range of hands-on science experiments, perhaps working in one of our science labs or learning to use the latest technology such as programmable robots and 3D printers.
With an eye to the future, Laurus International School of Science also has a strong focus on developing traditional core competencies in each student. Our hugely successful literacy and numeracy programme forms a cornerstone of our students’ learning at all levels.
Our programme includes a wide range of exciting events throughout the year that are fulfilling for students and teaching staff alike.
OUR TEACHERS:
We are looking for innovative and dedicated Homeroom Teachers that would like to work, play, and learn with children. We are not simply looking for English teachers, although this skill-set is highly valued. Our programmes are designed for teachers that can use English as the medium to teach our students all about themselves and the amazing world around them. We offer our students a multicultural learning environment and a full immersion English language programme.
Do you have experience working with children? Maybe you have studied early childhood development or teaching. Whatever the case, if you are dedicated to training the next generation and you are driven to improve yourself as a forward-thinking teaching professional we can offer excellent opportunities to you.
As a Homeroom Teacher you would be working within a dynamic team, educating a class of international and internationally minded students in Tokyo. We teach a comprehensive curriculum tailored to lead into our Cambridge registered Primary School. There are also opportunities to work with students of all ages and abilities in our after-school ESL classes, STEM Academy or possibly teach other specialised after-school lessons.
Teachers who possess a BA or an MA in Early Childhood Education are encouraged to apply!
OUR OPPORTUNITIES:
We offer professional development opportunities and the chance to work and collaborate with like-minded teachers on a daily basis. Ongoing support is provided by our curriculum department to ensure our students and teaching staff are able to reach their full potential. Laurus International School of Science is growing rapidly with new schools opening frequently and exciting educational programmes constantly being developed and implemented.
