Global Tree International was founded in 2015 in Niigata, Japan. Since then we have opened locations in Akita and Tokyo, with multiple new locations coming in 2021. Offering a variety of class formats to a range of skill levels and ages, our goal is to create an immersion environment that is both fun and educational for students, giving them both the confidence and the foundational skills to become proficient in a second language.

Our approach is unique: We are not a traditional English conversation school. Instead, we offer an innovative program where students come multiple times a week and spend up to 4 hours a day learning English through art, music, play and study. Our longer class times require the teacher to be able to keep up in an environment filled with the nonstop energy and enthusiasm of children. We are looking for a confident, fun loving, energetic teacher who can bring a bright, engaging personality to the classroom. We teach the students in English rather than teach English to them, so applicants must be aware of the challenges associated with this demanding but extremely rewarding teaching style.

We are looking for both part-time and full-time teachers to lead kids’ classes of all ages, preschool through elementary school. Our classes include student free time and snack time along with the core lesson.

Curriculum and lesson plans are prepared by the school, but teachers are always encouraged to be creative about adding their own ideas and bringing their unique personalities to the lessons. Our goal is to keep the students engaged and excited about learning.
