Description

Established in 1985, Tokyo International School Group (TISG) runs Tokyo International School Afterschool (TISAS), Tokyo International School Kindergarten (TISKG) and Tokyo International School Learning Through English (TISLTE) at our Nakameguro, Minami Azabu and Komazawa model school campuses in Tokyo. We also have franchise campuses based in Kachidoki (Chuo-ku), Minato Mirai (Yokohama), Oimachi (Shinagawa), Maruyama (Sapporo), Shukugawa (Kobe), and Ohori (Fukuoka).

The Ohori campus runs all three programs (TISAS, TISKG, and TISLTE). The TISLTE Saturday program provides classes once per week of 180 minutes in length. Students are placed in classes based on their age with the program open kindergarten and elementary students.

We are currently looking to hire one Teacher for the TISLTE Saturday School program to teach morning and afternoon classes.

POSITION DETAILS: Saturday School has two class time slots: from 10 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 5 pm. Our Saturday program is open for children aged between 4 and 11 years of age with classes divided into age groups. We are looking for a teacher who can teach both the morning and afternoon classes.

IDEAL CANDIDATE: We are looking for a confident, dedicated, and passionate teacher. Candidates must have a university degree and two years experience (ideally working with elementary students in Japan).

LOCATION: The school is located near Ropponmatsu station and Befu station on the Jonan line and Tojinmachi station and Nishijin station on the Kuko line.

TRAINING: A combination of in-person and online training will take place.

COMPENSATION: The wage will be 20,000 per day (for teaching both classes). Transportation is reimbursed.

RECRUITMENT PROCESS: TISG is providing a recruitment service for Eishinkan. TISG will screen resumes to check that the minimum requirements are met. Candidates who meet the requirements will be contacted to arrange face-to-face interviews for teachers who are able to come to our Tokyo HQ or Skype web-interviews for those who can’t. Candidates will be asked to bring with them their residence card, passport, copies of qualifications and letters of reference. Following the first round of interviews candidates will be short-listed for a second-round interview that will take place at the Ohori campus and will include a trial lesson. These second-round interviews will be conducted with Eishinkan staff and they will make the final decision. Once that final decision has been made TISG will contact all candidates to inform them of the decision. The successful candidate will meet with Eishinkan to sign employment documentation.

We look forward to receiving your application.
