Full time teacher- Art teacher/Library Project leader (expired)

We are looking for a Visual Art teacher(G1~G9) and Library project leader immediately.
Tokyo West International School is looking for a deliciated educator who enjoys working with children from ages 6~14. This position is for a candidate who lives close to Hachioji, Tokyo, and can start May,25,2020.

TWIS does not have the official visual arts department at this point. This teacher will be the founder of the program. One-year commitment(April2020-March2021) is required.
The visual arts teaching schedule is 8~10 classes/ 16~20 hours a week. There is the possibility of teaching kindergarten. It is a full-time position. Starting salary is 220000/month, depending on qualifications and experience. The transportation fee will be paid separately.

Art teacher will take 50% of your time. Your other task is to set up our library. You need to organize and create a catalog.



You will be an experienced and certified visual arts teacher who has a deep understanding of the International Baccalaureate (IB) PYP. IB experience at an international school is preferable, but it is not required. Through the nature of the PYP curriculum, you will have demonstrated collaboration with your colleagues and are able to work well with others.
Art teacher will take 50% of your time.
