Description

UP Inc. is a well-established education brand in the Kansai district. We are currently expanding our English programs in new and exciting ways.

Do you have a passion you want to share? We can give you that opportunity. We are looking for PART-TIME native or near-native English instructors for SATURDAYS and possibly SUNDAYS, as well as FULL-TIME instructors.

We are looking for people to create and teach their lessons in various branches of our company based on the following lists:

English Teachers
 Kindergarten to Elementary
 Junior high school to High school
 Adults

■COMPENSATION
●PART-TIME SALARY
- Teaching: STARTS from 3,000 yen per hour (based on skills)
- Desk work: 1,000 yen per hour
●FULL-TIME SALARY
- 280,000 yen monthly (initial 2-month training period will be an hourly rate)
●TRANSPORTATION
- Reimbursed

■CONTRACT
- 1-year (or more) contract with renewal and long term extension opportunities as well as salary increase opportunities based on performance. (A year contract when started from April)
- Probationary period (About 2 weeks for PART-TIMERS, 2 months for FULL-TIMERS)

■WORKING CONDITIONS
●LOCATION
- Nishinomiya and Kyoto
●PART-TIME WORK SCHEDULE
- Must work on Saturdays and Sundays (if possible)
- Can work up to 3 to 5 days a week from Monday through Sunday
- 6 to 8 hours a day between the hours of 8:30-21:00 (60 minute break)
- Tentative Schedules:
Saturday 9:00am to 4:00pm OR 8:30am to 5:30pm @Nishinomiya Kitaguchi
Sunday 10:00am to 5pm @Kyoto
Weekdays between 12:30pm to 9:00pm @Nishinomiya Kitaguchi
●PART-TIME YEARLY SCHEDULE & HOLIDAYS
- Employees must be flexible in scheduling, especially during Japanese school vacation periods
- About half of the national holidays are work days for our branches
●FULL-TIME WORK SCHEDULE
- Must work on Saturdays and Sundays
- 5 days a week from Monday through Sunday
- 7 hours a day between the hours of 8:30-22:00
- 35 hours a week (30 working hours & a 60-minute break each day)

●FULL-TIME YEARLY SCHEDULE & HOLIDAYS
- Employees must be flexible in scheduling, especially during Japanese school vacation periods
- About half of the national holidays are work days for our branches
- 120 scheduled days off
- 10 paid vacation days after 6 months (with over 80% attendance)
- Time off during Golden Week, summer and New Year’s

■DUTIES
- Teach English one-on-one or up to 10 students at a time depending on age, program & level
- Help to plan and develop English teaching materials
- Plan, prepare, and carry out seasonal events (Summer/Halloween/Christmas/etc.)

■REQUIREMENTS
- Native or near-native English speaker
- Within reasonable commuting distance
- Valid working visa (sponsorship available for full-time, applicants must meet immigration requirements)

■PREFERRED
- Kindergarten experience
- Special skills that you can contribute to our English programs (the same or similar to as stated above)
- Experience teaching Eiken/TOEFL/TOEIC
- Phonics
- Academic writing skills
- Debate/presentation
- Computer savvy
