Kindergarten Director (expired)

Job Summary
Capital Tokyo International School (CTIS) is recruiting a Kindergarten Director for our upcoming Kindergarten. CTIS is opening in April 2022 and is providing elementary school education initially, and then launching a Kindergarten and a Middle School in 2023. This position would be a founding leadership and teaching role that would transition into a full leadership role over time for a preschool Program, from K3 to K5.

Successful candidates will be self-starters and have the ability to deliver results and meet deadlines for assigned tasks while also taking ownership of their responsibilities, paying particular attention to task-related details. Listening and being able to understand different perspectives across cultural groups and school communities are also core skills.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:
Please only apply if you meet the following essential qualifications.

Native English speaker.
Ability to live and work in Japan with no visa requirements.
Bachelor’s Degree required with either a Master's Degree in an educational field or an official teaching license.
At least 5+ years of successful teaching, ideally in an international Kindergarten or Early Years, Primary Years Program.
Demonstrated history of effective teaching and professional development.


Demonstrated history of effectiveness in the leadership of a school.
IB certificates in PYP.
