Successful candidates will be self-starters and have the ability to deliver results and meet deadlines for assigned tasks while also taking ownership of their responsibilities, paying particular attention to task-related details. Listening and being able to understand different perspectives across cultural groups and school communities are also core skills.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:
Please only apply if you meet the following essential qualifications.

Native-level English speaker.
Ability to live and work in Japan with no visa requirements.
Bachelor’s Degree required. A Master's Degree or teaching license is preferred.
At least 5+ years of successful teaching, ideally in an international elementary or Primary Years Program.
Demonstrated history of effective teaching and professional development.
IB certificates in the PYP preferred.

Desirable Experience:
Experience with authorization of an International Baccalaureate program (PYP).
Proficiency in Japanese from level N3 or above.
Experience with afterschool programs or activities.
