These openings are for positions as a Full-Time Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) in Fukuoka and surround areas.

As a Non-Profit organization, we are looking for high-quality teachers: Individuals who are world-thinkers, team players, and contributors of society who want to make a positive impact on children's lives.

The placement will be in Elementary and Junior High Schools, where the ALT will assist as a team teacher and help plan English lessons under a schedule created by NPO GLAD and the Board of Education. In addition to teaching English lessons, you may also be asked to participate in other school activities such as clubs, beautification of the school and cultural festivals. You will be able to immerse yourself in Japanese culture as an ALT.

Contract start date:
April 2018 (1-year long contract)

Selected candidates must be living in or be able to relocate to Japan at their own expense.

Position Requirements:
・Must be currently living in Japan or have immediate plans to relocate to Japan
・Must be a native speaker of English, or have acquired an education in English for at least 12 years
・Must have completed a University Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in English speaking countries
・Must have a strong interest in Japanese culture and language and be able to connect with Japanese people
・Must have conversational Japanese skill
・Must have at least one year of English teaching experience at Elementary school, Junior High school, High School, or Kindergarten
・Visa Sponsorship available
・Japanese/International Drivers Licence (high-priority is given to licence holders)

Conditions:
・Monthly salary is 220,000 ~ 250,000 Japanese yen per month (depending on experience, location, and contract)
・Monday to Friday. between 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
・Transportation costs will be covered at a certain rate per day
・Days off include weekends, National Holidays, and other holidays set on the Board of Education's school calendar.
