We have specialized in teaching English to Japanese children for almost 40 years and have created most of the in-class and homework learning aids we use in our constantly evolving program. We are not part of a chain school organization, but our system has been adopted by about 50 independently owned sister schools in Japan, who look to us for leadership, seminar training and continuous cooperative curriculum development.
We provide teacher training through frequent seminars, workshops, and senior peer assistance. PLS is also increasingly involved in program development and teacher training with public elementary and junior high schools in several prefectures.
The school is open Monday through Saturday (individual teachers work consecutive 5 days a week). The weekly working hours, including prep and record-keeping, are about 35 hours, but actual teaching hours are 20 to a maximum of 25, mostly afternoons and evenings.

The successful applicant will start training and work in April or May 2014.
