Part-Time English Teaching Position at a University in Tama area, Tokyo（到期)

Berkeley House is now seeking a cheerful, friendly, and experienced English instructor to help prepare Japanese university students to study in USA / Canada / UK.
The position is a short-term, part-time position as follows:

Period:
October 2024 - December 2024

Day and Time:
Fridays 17:20 - 19:00

Schedule:
October - 25th
November - 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd
December - 6th, 13th, 20th

Location:
Prestigious Private University in Machida

Access:
- 10-minute bus ride from Mejiro-dai Station
- 13-minute bus ride from Aihara Station

Class Size:
Approximately 8~10 Students (Maximum 15 Students)

Responsibility:
Includes the following but not limited to:
- Help prepare Japanese university students to live and study in UK/USA/Canada.
- Teach academic writing (Essay correction, etc.)
- Strengthen communicational skills
- Instill cultural understanding: mannerisms, etiquette, social norms, history, etc.

Salary:
5,000 ~ 6,000 JPY* / 100 minute lesson
*Depending on the experience / skills
*Essay correction outside of class 400JPY/Essay
Transportation cost fully remunerated


We are looking for instructors who ….
-Are a native-level speaker
-Possess a Bachelors Degree from an accredited University
-Have a minimum of 3 years experience teaching EFL
-Hold a teaching certificate from an accredited organization, such as CELTA, DELTA, MA TESOL, etc., which should include a practicum as part of the course work.
-Experience preparing students to study abroad, specifically in Canada.
