Description

Site supervisor for solar power plants:
We have a position for a site supervisor with an electrical or mechanical background to support the overseeing of contractors and vendors on solar power sites, provide trouble shooting and confirm compliance with engineering design and drawings. The successful candidate is responsible for the day to day supervision of a multi-discipline solar project coordinate site construction activities and supervise field personnel as required to successfully complete large utility scale solar projects on schedule and within budget. The site supervisor works diligently to build a safe, high quality, solar plant.

Responsibilities:
-Work closely with the Project Manager to coordinate construction workers, subcontractors and vendors.
-Review the work progress and quality on a daily basis.
-Accept deliveries and inspect materials at project sites on a timely basis by the most effective, efficient means.
-Document and resolve issues.
-Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
-Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
-Respond to work delays and emergencies. Analyze and mitigate risks.
-Collect commissioning and punch list data.
-Complete QC inspection and documentation on-site accurately.
-Ensure that projects are constructed safely and to high quality standard
-Participate in on-site meetings with clients, contractors, utility and other stakeholders.

Knowledge & Skills:
-Working experience in construction projects.
-Excellent time and project management skills.
-Strong technical aptitude with ability to deliver creative solutions.
-Self-driven, highly motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
-High degree of attention to detail and follow-through.
-Ability to read and understand engineering and construction drawings.

Qualification:
-Currently based in Japan
-Experience in construction projects
-4-year university degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or construction management
-2 or more years of construction experience
-Preference given to candidates with renewable energy, or solar construction experience
-Required ability to work under pressure, manage multiple assignments, and prioritize

Japanese language skills a plus
