ALT/Sub Manager required for split school/work from home role, April 12 start（期限切れ）

We at RCS Corporation are the longest running ALT dispatch company in Japan. Our ALTs are mainly placed in public schools across the Kanto region, however we are looking to expand across Japan. You might be right person to help us do just that, so we have an exciting opportunity on offer!

This is to be a split role, 3 days per week working as an Assistant language Teacher (ALT) in a high school, 2 days per week working from home as a Sub-Manager. Note that there are significant portions of the year where you would be working solely based from home, as the school schedule has plenty of down time.

What's an ALT?

ALTs by their very name are assistants to the Japanese English teachers in public schools. Quite often being the only foreigner in the school, ALTs are usually idolized by their students. As a role model, ALTs are in a position to make a profound positive impact on their students' lives. On a personal level, working in a Japanese environment is a great way to immerse yourself in Japanese culture, improve your Japanese, and build lifelong friendships.

The Sub-Manager position:

Reporting to our Tokyo office, you will be responsible for managing our ALTs in the Kansai area. This would enable you to work from home but you'll be required to visit ALTs in their schools for class observations and to provide feedback and training, train new ALTs, substitute in schools when regular ALTs are to be absent, meet with representatives of the various boards of education, assist with business proposals, and overall ensure the smooth operations of our business in your district.

The successful candidate:
• Must be from a native English speaking country
• Hold a minimum of a Bachelor degree
• Must have at least one year of experience teaching English in Japan
• Strong conversational or business level Japanese
• Organized, diligent, hard-working and polite/friendly attitude
• Must be situated in or near Akashi-shi and ready to start on April 12th, 2021.
