Are you living in Japan and looking for a job that offers stability, professional experience and the chance to make a difference? Have you ever thought about teaching English in public schools? Or, are you a former or current teacher looking to continue what you started and seeking new opportunities? Whatever your answer may be, right now is the perfect time to apply to be an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) with Borderlink, Inc!

Being an ALT gives you a chance to meet new people, touch many different lives and create lifelong memories. You'll play a vital role in the Japanese school curriculum and serve as an essential part of school life for the next generation. It's a career path that can be as fulfilling for you as it is enriching for your students. And best of all, it's a path open to you even if your background isn't in education!

● Believe In Your Possibility!
People from all over the world from many different professions have spent time as ALTs, and the experiences gained helped them throughout the rest of their careers. Being an ALT is a great opportunity for:

-Those who've already worked as ALTs and seek to continue their career while developing their teaching skills in a new work environment
-Those used to teaching adults in the evening or on weekends at language schools seeking new opportunities, a different work schedule and a change of atmosphere
-Those coming from a different field altogether looking to get into teaching English with a trusted named with over 20 years of experience
-Students currently studying in Japan and expecting to graduate by March 2021 looking to get started on their post-graduate careers in Japan

Although April is still a couple months away, offers are now being made for positions across Japan and new openings are coming in every week. We highly encourage you to send you application in today and begin the process to line up work for the spring. We are holding Skype interviews Monday to Friday, and for those new to the ALT world, we also have weekend orientation sessions (both in-office and remote) that will introduce you to the ins and outs of ALT work!

And if you're looking for work immediately, we have some available positions that are open right now! Please don't hesitate to let us know when applying to this advertisement so we can share details with you.

● Who Are We Looking For?
In addition to the requirements stated at the top of this ad, successful applicants should have strong verbal and written communication skills, be in good health, and be an excellent team player. Japanese isn't required but is highly desired by many schools, so knowledge of the language or a willingness to learn is encouraged. The ability to drive in Japan is also highly sought-after and widens your range of possibilities.

● Support Every Step of the Way
After passing the interview stage, successful candidates are given continuing assistance to ensure a smooth transition into their new role. We can help with visa support, finding new accommodations for those relocating, round-the-clock assistance, and much more. You can step into your new role with ease and comfort!

Other benefits of being an ALT with Borderlink include year-round training (including initial training before you start teaching), access to teaching materials and our library of educational resources (worksheets, flashcards, etc.), free monthly consultation from veteran ALTs, a yearly calendar to help manage your schedule, paid holidays (as stipulated by the contract), possibility of contract renewal and/or advancement in the company based on performance and skills.

● Benefits of Being an ALT
ALTs work regular school hours (usually between 8 AM to 5 PM) and enjoy free evenings, weekends and national holidays, plus school vacation periods. Overtime work is rare and you can enjoy a work-life balance that lets you grow professionally, while also having the time to explore and enjoy Japan and its culture. And when it comes to the job, if you're willing to learn and are open to new experiences, we can and want to help you! The schools and students we work with want the best, and we'll make sure you are the best!

● For those seeking Daily (part-time) positions:
Looking to work a lighter schedule? You're also welcome to apply! We have part-time positions in select areas. Please enquire when applying.

● Apply Today!
We are receiving new position information all the time and may have that area you've dreamed of working in. As mentioned, we're already making offers for the 2021 school year starting this April, so don't delay- apply today! Thank you for your interest in Borderlink. Let's believe in your possibility together!

*Please note that as we receive a high number of applicants, only those who pass the initial screening will be contacted for an interview.
