Description

A private secondary school in northern Kanto seeks a full-time Chemistry teacher with a valid teaching certificate in the country of origin, to be hired directly. This is not an international school, but a private school following Japanese governmental course guideline of MEXT, while implementing an English Immersion program.

starting date: May 2021
salary: additional information on sample salary is available
housing allowance is available
relocation allowance is available
transportation expense for an interview is partially available.

Requirement:
Teaching certificate in the country of origin which qualify to teach chemistry in the secondary school is the professional requirement.
A minimum of 4 contacts of referees will be asked in the process of application.
Application documents: resume/cv, valid teaching certificate, degree, transcript, a residence card, and other qualification if any

Experience in teaching is required, for +5 years at junior/senior high school is preferable.
Experience in teaching high school chemistry (ideally, IB Environmental Systems, and Societies (ESS) /Chemistry) is welcome.
Understanding the Japanese school system by experience is favorable.
current resident in Japan or one who has procured a working visa (or a spouse visa)


The successful candidate will be a homeroom teacher, involving other activities, coaching, and other supports when needed.

Japanese language skill is not required but will help to communicate with parents.
