Let’s make children love English together! Starting from January 2021. You can be the start of something amazing as an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) in Kaizu City, Gifu Prefecture!
Must be an English native speaker and be able to drive or obtain an International driver’s license due to remoteness. We can provide you with a rental car if needed!
About Kaizu City
Kaizu is located in the extreme southwest corner of Gifu Prefecture. Levees are the most visible feature surrounding the city. To the west of the city is the border of Gifu and Mie prefectures, where the Yoro Mountains run from north-to-south and the three major rivers of the Nobi Plain (the Ibi, Nagara, and Kiso rivers) merge. The Tsuya, Ogure, and Oe rivers also flow through the city. Kaizu is home to Kisosansen Park. This is the location at which the Nagara, Ibi and Kiso rivers meet. A panoramic view of the area can be viewed from an observation tower located in Kisosansen Park.
Chiyoho Inari Shrine in Kaizu city, is loved with a nickname of “Ochobo-san”, and it is an Inari Jinja Shrine that is said that brings luck for good commerce and family safety.
Many worshipers visit for “a visit of over the month-end” that from the end of every month through the next first day.
And in front of the worship building, it is so crowded that you can hardly move about, and such a crowd continues from around midnight until early morning. On the approach where around 120 stores are lined up, please also check specialty dishes, including grilled catfish that grew in Kiso Sansen three rivers basin, and deep-fried skewered meat and vegetables.

Contract term:
January 2021– March 31st, 2021

Benefits
・Transportation costs will be covered at a certain rate per month (car and travel expenses included)
・Days off include weekends, national holidays, and other holidays set on the Board of Education's school calendar
・Relocation support
・Ongoing and continuous support (training and advice)

Conditions
・Monthly base compensation: From ¥230,000 per month (It will be decided after some interviews)
・Working hours: Monday through Friday
From 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM (±5 minutes depending on the school), 45 minutes break within this time
・Placement: Elementary schools and Junior High schools in Kaizu City

Qualification
・Excellent English skill
・Holder of a university Bachelor's degree (or higher)
・Holder of a valid visa status that allows work in Japan (visa sponsorship/renewal available)
・Holder of a Japanese driver's license or international driving permit
・Able to speak conversational Japanese: communication is crucial for planning and creating lessons with Japanese teachers of English. We also highly suggest that teachers be able to be involved with the communities here.
