>>Teach English, Live in Japan!<<
As we enter the final quarter of 2020, it's time to start looking ahead towards the coming year. Wherever you are, the world is full of uncertainty right now. Whether you're looking for a new career path or some stability in the one you have now, teaching English abroad is a great next step to take. And one of the best ways to do that is as an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) in Japan!
ALTs work in schools across the country, supporting and being supported by Japanese teachers. Teaching in the public education system allows you to build strong, long-lasting relationships with your classes, get involved in extra-curricular activities like clubs and special events, and see a totally different side of Japan. It's a fulfilling and enriching experience not only for your students, but for you as well!
If you're living overseas, right now the idea of traveling across the world to teach may seem like only a distant dream. But we here at Borderlink are ready to make your journey to Japan a simple and smooth one- and it's a journey that can start today! We have already begun recruiting for positions starting from spring 2021, and encourage you to apply now!
If you're already in Japan and looking to stay here from the spring, this opportunity is open to all, and we encourage you to apply early to secure work for the coming months. This includes students currently in Japan expecting to graduate by March 2021. If you are looking for a position starting before Spring 2021, please see the bottom of this ad for more information.
>>We Support Your Journey to Japan<<
For over 20 years, Borderlink has been one of the premier employers of Assistant Language Teachers (ALTs) across Japan, and we're only continuing to grow and improve with each passing year. One of our proudest attributes is a support staff that aims to make your transition to Japan and subsequent time spent here as easy and enjoyable as possible.
After passing the interview stage, successful candidates are given continuing direction and assistance- not just during the visa application process, but with everything from pre-departure specifics to advice on general life in Japan. And this support continues over the months of preparation, so even if your first day stepping into school seems far away now, our team will help you feel like you're already on the road there.
>>Who Are We Looking For?<<
Ideal candidates are highly motivated, outgoing, and personable individuals who can commit to the full academic year- it takes time to foster relationships with fellow teachers and students, and we owe it to them to provide a stable and enjoyable learning environment. Please remember that when you sign on to be an ALT, it is more than just signing a contract. It's making a promise, and truly embarking on a journey- be sure you're ready and willing to see it through to the end.
In addition to the requirements stated at the top of this ad, successful applicants should have strong verbal and written communication skills, be in good health, and be an excellent team player. Japanese isn't required but is highly desired by many schools, so knowledge of the language or a willingness to learn is encouraged.
