NPO GLAD is looking for an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) who teach English in Elementary or Junior high schools in Yuzawa city, Akita Prefecture. If you have a passion for teaching English for kids and a professional aspect of behavior, please apply now!

[Duties]
・Help homeroom teachers to build the lesson plans and run the lessons
・Have meetings with Japanese teachers in Japanese
・Help making English educational tools
・Build good relationships with students, teachers, and a surrounding community
・Participate the outside class activities (Clubs, Sports Day, Cultural Festival etc.)
・Participate the International Exchange Activities in the area

[Qualifications]
・Native English speaker or individual who has acquired an education in English for at least 12 years
・Strong communication skill of Japanese
・Understand Japanese culture and have enthusiasm to learn
・Understand Japanese school education and have enthusiasm to teach
・Have some experience in teaching
・Have a driving license as an IDP or a Japanese ones if possible

[Position Details]
・Number of hiring: Only 1
・Location: Yuzawa, Akita
・ Contract Period: April 2020 (ASAP) to July 2020
・ Contract Type: Monthly (Full-Time)
・Level: elementary and/or junior high schools
・Working Days: Monday - Friday (could be varied in special occasions)
・Working Hours: 8:30 to 15:15 (could be varied)

Yuzawa is located in southern part of Akita prefecture. The population is about 43,000 and about 1.2 million tourists visit here. Yuzawa has a large seasonal temperature difference.
