Child Care Staff（期限切れ）

Duties:
Childcare workers typically do the following:

Supervise and monitor the safety of children in their care.
Organize mealtimes and snacks for children.
Help children keep good hygiene.
Change the diapers of infants and toddlers.
Organize activities or implement a curriculum that allow children to learn about the world and explore interests.
Watch for signs of emotional or developmental problems in children.
Keep records of children’s progress, routines, and interest.

Young children learn from playing, solving problems, questioning, and experimenting. Childcare workers use play and other instructional techniques to help children’s development. For example, they use storytelling and rhyming games to teach language and vocabulary. They may help improve children’s social skills by having them work together to build something in a sandbox or teach math by having children count when building with blocks. They may involve the children in creative activities, such as art, dance, and music.


Working at the American Kindergarten will be no different than working at any kindergarten. With the exception that the parents are mostly Japanese, our kindergarten is like any other. We do our best to provide great service and strive to improve always.


Hours:
35-40 hour week. 6-8 hours a day. Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays off. 2 Weeks off for New Years and Obon.

Location:
Miyazaki, located in the south of the island Kyushu, is considered to be a tropical and relaxed location. Snowboarding is not a thing here but surfing sure is. The area is famous for its beautiful beaches, the best steaks in Japan, and delicious mangoes. Compare to most large cities in Japan, Miyazaki has a relatively cheap cost of living. With an airport nearby, you can also fly anywhere from Okinawa, Osaka, Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong, and even Taiwan for a quick visit. The most popular mode of transportation in the city is #1 car, #2 bicycle/motorcycles, #3 bus.
