Description

We are looking for English teachers for the 【1】 the 2019 regular kids English program and 【2】 the Winter Intensive kids English program.

【1】 Part-time teachers for the academic 2019 regular kids classes
[Contract Term]
October, 2019 to March 31, 2020 (start date may vary)

[Class] *We are looking a teacher who can teach one of the classes below or both classes.
#1
Day: Wednesdays
Class Hours: 16:30-18:30
Students: elementary school age (currently 4 students. Maximum 12 students)
Wage: 6,600-7,700 yen
Transportation Coverage: maximum 1,500 yen
Location: Nagoya YMCA (Ikeshita): Chikusa-ku Nagoya

Day: Saturdays
Class Hours: 9:30-16:00
Students: kindergarten to younger elementary school age (currently 5 students. Maximum 12 students)
Wage: 15,000-17,200 yen
Transportation Coverage: maximum 1,500 yen
Location: Nanzan Family YMCA: Shouwa-ku Nagoya

*Regular classes do not run during summer, winter, and spring breaks
*YMCA will inform you detailed academic schedule at the interview.

[Transportation Allowance]
Maximum ¥1,500 for round-trip per day

*Teachers are required to arrive early enough to prepare for the class and stay for extra 10-15 minutes to interact with parents and tidy up the classroom.
*The maximum number of students per class is 12.

*Responsibilities include the following:
・Conduct engaging, enjoyable, and educational English language class based on our teaching curriculum and additional instruction to help nurture the potential of our students through the language education (Teaching contents may include phonics, grammar, listening, reading, speaking, pronunciation, theme study, crafts, art, and P.E.)
・Ensure the English only policy is followed all the time
・Set up your classroom before your students arrive and tidy up classrooms after class
・Ensure safety of our students during the class, activities, and break time through adequate supervision
・Explain your class contents briefly to the parents after every class with the help from YMCA staff

*Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted and invited for an interview and demonstration lesson with a YMCA teacher and staff.

【2】 Part-time teachers for the Winter Intensive program (December 2019)

・Nanzan Family YMCA: Shouwa-ku Nagoya

[Contract Terms and Locations]
December 24 - December 27 (4 days) at Ikeshita or Nanzan

[Class Hours]
9:30-16:00 or 9:30-15:00

[Classes & Hours]
Kindergarten 1st grade (Nanzan) 9:30-15:00
Kindergarten 2nd and 3rd grades (Ikeshita and Nanzan) 9:30-16:00
Lower Elementary (Ikeshita and Nanzan) 9:30-16:00
Upper Elementary (Ikeshita) 9:30-16:00

[Wage]
・15,000 - 17,200 yen per day (9:30-16:00)
・12,000 - 14,000 yen per day (9:30-15:00)

[Transportation Allowance]
Maximum ¥1,500 for round-trip per day
